Photographs of Portland Infants School
A bundle of photographs, some apparently taken from a scrap book, showing school activities from the late 1940s to early 1960s. Activities include harvest festivals, nativity plays, coronation parade (1953) etc. Also included is a 1927 teachers report from Furzedown Training College for Irene Eveline Barnett. As the collection also includes a couple of personal photographs, it is likely that the collection came from her family.

Aviation papers of Florence Shephard
Florence Shephard (c.1894 - 1984) worked for the Aeronautical Inspection Directorate at Croydon Aerodrome in 1929 having previously been based in the AID at A.V.Roe at Hamble near Southampton. In c.1939 she transferred to Leatherhead but continued to commute from the Croydon area.

Why Janet should read Shakespeare by Norman Hapgood 1929. Inscription shows it was presented to Peggy Ashcroft by the author in 1937. Later given to the Ashcroft Theatre Club.
In addition, a collection of duplicate Fairfield programmes was donated to LSLA to be added to Fairfield programmes collection.

6) Green paperback album of wartime postcards addressed to Florrie King by Will (William) King who was serving in the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. As the postcards seem to stop abruptly in 1915, it is presumed that William (born c.1883) was killed in action (a Pte William King of the 4th Bn Cameron Highlanders died 24 March 1915 (source: CWGC).
7) Material from Cameron uniform together with button with picture of soldier and 1897 Diamond Jubilee coin (probably belonging to William Smith).
