Administrative:
The donor was Hon Sec from 1986 to present.

The White House Horticultural Society was formed in January 1940 by the Civil Defence wardens of Post 66 whose Headquarters at that time were the White House, Limpsfield Road, Sanderstead. The purpose was to impress upon the local authority the need to provide more land for allotments.
After the war, the Society continued to meet at the White House until the 1980s but later transferred to the parish hall of All Saint Parish church.
Activities included plant sales, an annual show, speakers and outings. The Society was wound up in 2007 because of falling membership. The Societys funds were distributed to relevant charitable causes.
