Archival history

F.H.B. Ellis was the father in law of the donors aunt. The manuscript was found among her possessions following her death.

F.H.B.Ellis MA (b.1865) was a member of Coulsdon and Purley UDC from its inception in 1915 until ill health forced him to resign in March 1928. He was Chairman of the Council from 1923 to 1925 and also served as Chairman of the Highways, Buildings and New Streets Committee.
