2nd Lt. Edgar Rowe Williamson (b.1895) of the 5th Bn London Regiment was killed at the Battle of the Somme on 10 September 1916. He had previously been awarded the Military Cross for gallantry. His family lived at 33 Vincent road, Croydon.
