13) Drawer of Ordnance Survey maps, mostly 1896 2nd edition, 1:500. (To be transferred to Local Studies Library collections. N.B. Some in very poor condition. Drawer to be disposed of.)

A collection of ephemera relating to various Red Cross activities in Croydon from 1960s onwards: centres at 47 Coombe Road and Spring Park Road in Shirley together with a Red Cross shop on Robert Street.
The Collection contains loose photographs, photograph albums, newspaper cuttings, directories, certificates etc.

Large photograph album, in a fragile condition with some loose pages. The album is mainly holiday photographs (Isle of Wight, Bexhill, Eastbourne etc) but with some Croydon photographs, including interiors. These include:

The album also includes scenes from a historical pageant as well as some pressed leaves.
It is likely that the owner of the album was an acquaintance of James Sant (1820 - 1916, born in Croydon) as there are photographs of him at work and also a photograph of three ladies taken at his home at 43 Lancaster Gate, London.
