The New Zealand Woodford House School was founded on 24 February 1894 by Miss M Hodge, who had previously taught at Woodford House School , Croydon. The school was first established in Hastings (North Island, New Zealand) and moved out of the town to Havelock in 1911. It used the same colours ( carnation and grey ) as Woodford School, Croydon.
