Both men lived in Croydon area. Nicholas Baldwin was a shoemaker who died in 1639 and was buried on 17th Dec 1639

Archival history

Originally held at Lambeth Palace Library. Then pased to Surrey History Centre who in turn passed them on to Croydon Archives Service.

Two wills, each with probate attached. Both leave a number of bequests, including money and property. Each have a probate attached, showing that in both cases the executors obtained permission to carry out the wishes expressed in the will. Wills in English, probates in Latin.
