Three log books with enclosures

Coulsdon Roke Infants' School and Coulsdon Roke Post-Infants' School were founded on 27 April 1908. The word "Coulsdon" was later dropped from the title. The Post-Infants' School closed in 1926 when Roke Central School was opened in the building. Roke Junior School opened on 19 April 1950 in premises vacated by Roke Central School. Opened 10 January 1929 as a central mixed [boys and girls] school in Winterbourne Road, Thornton Heath. During the second world war the school was evacuated to Eastbourne from September 1939 to June 1940 and the to Wales until 11 January 1943.

Newsletters from May 1987 (some gaps in the initial years) to December/January 2020. In more recent times, an accrual has occurred once a year. There are also some committee minutes, February 1998 - 2004 (some missing) and AGM minutes from 1995 - 2002 (not 2001). In addition there are some publicity leaflets and some documentation about the founding of CAGS and its predecessor body CHE

Log book of the Earl Haig Patrol, 15th Southern Croydon, St Peters Rover Scouts. The log book begins on 01 November 1928 as the first log book covering the preceding year had evidently been lost. The purpose of the log was to record a true and unbiased account of the activities of the Patrol, a list of members together with their addresses, a record of Tests passed and any correspondence received.. The volume includes correspondence, programmes and details of camps, including a camp by six rovers at Corbion in Belgium in August 1929 although there is little information after this date.
