Bundle of papers relating to army service, divorce and bankruptcy of Mr Robert Fuller of Melfort Road, Thornton Heath and later Everton Road, Thornton Heath. A fishmonger at Brighton Road, Purley, he was declared bankrupt in 1934 but, following army service, discharged himself from bankruptcy in 1947. He and his wife divorced in 1945.

They were originally inserted into a copy of the loose-leaf Regional Survey Atlas of Croydon and District (CNHSS, 1936 onwards), and the plans are therefore numbered as sheets 170 and 171.

Daybook of the firm of Samuel Waghorn (later normally spelled Waghorne), wheelwrights and coachbuilders, covering the periods 1788-1800 and 1826-1828.
Section 1 (Samuel Waghorn II) is arranged in rough chronological order by customer name, listing under each name the various jobs done under a period of time - often several months - before an account was settled. Nov 1788 - Mar 1800
Section 2 (Samuel Waghorn III) is arranged in strict chronological order, detailing the work done on each day. 22 Jun 1826 - 31 Dec 1828.
The endpapers were used by Samuel I to record expenses, income from rent, and miscellaneous work done.
A sale particular for shop and premises in the High Street is inserted into the volume. 15 Dec 1818.

Plan of Croydon by Jean Baptiste Say. The plan was drawn in 1785, when Say (aged 18) and his brother Horace were staying in Croydon, at the house of Mr Bisset in Pound Street (George Street). The town plan, and the lost plan of the wider region to which the key refers, seem to have been drawn to illustrate the visit to a correspondent at home.
