About the Museum of Croydon

The Museum exists to collect, conserve and interpret Croydon's cultural heritage, so that everyone can take part in creative and enjoyable learning experiences: the Museum of Croydon, Research Room & Archive are currently closed until further notice.

The Borough Archive

Contains over 1000 archive collections relating to the London Borough of Croydon, its predecessor bodies and the diverse community it now serves.

Museum of Croydon galleries

These galleries are currently closed whilst we prepare for exciting changes for our 2020 programme. .

Riesco Gallery

Home to the 200 items from the Riesco Collection of Chinese ceramics and Croydon's Roman and Anglo-Saxon collections.

Changing displays of works from the Borough Art Collection. Our next exhibition - #FAVS opens on 18th December 2019

The place to go to find out more about our collections and discover the history of your family, house or local community.

We also run a fun and interactive programme of events, activities & special projects to encourage local people to enjoy and learn from our collections.
