A petition of several hundred signatures presented to the Mayor and Corporation of Croydon calling for the purchase of the whole of Croham Hurst. The petitions are in three bundles and are divided into Ratepayers and Non-Rate Payers.

The collection consists of a petition presented to the Corporation of Croydon by the Croham Hurst Preservation Committee in 1899 and reprints of Croydon Advertiser newspaper articles which were evidently used by the Croham Hurst Preservation Committee as publicity material.
